Welcome to the Benefice of Bratton, Edington and Imber, Coulston and Erlestoke.
My name is Andrew and I'm the Rector of this Church of England benefice. Together with all those who worship in the four churches of the benefice I look forward to welcoming you and getting to know you. You can find out more about me and other people in the benefice on our People page.
Safeguarding is very important to us. A statement of our policy can be viewed from the Safeguarding link at the bottom of every page of our web-site.
The Benefice comprises the four parishes of Bratton, Edington and Imber, Coulston and Erlestoke. The villages run west to east along the B3098 between Warminster and Devizes in North-West Wiltshire. (We use the acronym BECIE - which we pronounce "Becky".)
About nine services are held in Bratton each month, either in the church of St. James the Great, or in the Church Institute, seven are held in Edington Priory Church, two in St. Thomas à Becket, Coulston and one in The Church of the Holy Saviour, Erlestoke.
Each of the four churches is at the centre of community life and there is always lots going on, including fairs, concerts, workshops, book-swaps, lunches, study groups etc.
Across the Benefice we hold a wide variety of services to suit everyone, from traditional Holy Communion services to Café Church and many others in between.
